Pikesville Senior High Field #5
Sky & Sky Inc vs GorgeousWatches.com
Game 1
Sky & Sky Inc- 14  GorgeousWatches.com- 9
WP- Marc Leibovitz  LP- Jeff Harris
GorgeousWatches hosted Sky & Sky at the high school and the outfielders had their hands full with judging fly balls in windy conditions.  The first three batters for GorgeousWatches all flied to LF and that was a prelude to how the day would go for Sky & Sky's pitcher Marc Leibovitz.  Only 3 ground ball outs in 7 innings.  Meanwhile pitcher Jeff Harris had Sky & Sky batters off balance for 6 solid innings.  GorgeousWatches second inning saw the bats come out as Tony Luna doubled home one run and Andrew Rosenstein hit a 2-run shot followed by a John Koman solo job.  Although Sky & Sky relinquished an early lead, they kept things close scoring one run in three of the first four innings.  The fourth inning was the big one for GorgeousWatches as five runs crossed the plate with the key shot coming off the bat of Russell Dlin on a grand slam HR over the RCF's head.  Down 9-3 in the b-5th, Sky & Sky chipped away at the lead aided by two errors and an Alan Smith triple to bring the score to within 3 runs.  However, the b-6th proved to be the pivotal inning for Sky & Sky.  Steve Truitt singled 2 home, and Eric Gertner doubled two more home to push Sky & Sky into the lead by one.  But the offense wasn't done as David Kowitz homered to the gap for three more and a five run lead going into the t-7th.  The final score ended 14-9 as Marc Leibovitz got the win and Jeff Harris took the loss.  Hitting stars for Sky & Sky were Brian "Sky" Mekiliesky(2-2,SF, 2 RBI), Scott Felton(2-3, 2 2B) and Alan Smith(3-3, HR,3B,1B,2RBI, 3 runs).  GorgeousWatches attack featured John Koman(2-3, HR 1B) and Larry Henderson(1-2,1B,2 BB).

Game 2
GorgeousWatches.com- 17  Sky & Sky Inc- 9
WP- Jeff Harris  LP- Larry Newman
Game two started as a slug fest with 18 runs through 3 innings.  Scott Felton tripled home one as Sky & Sky jumped to an early 2-0 lead, but the lead quickly evaporated as GorgeousWatches  pushed 5 across in the b-1st. Larry Henderson homered followed by a Russ Dlin triple, and after John Koman doubled home a run the lead was 5-2.  In the b-2nd, 7 of the first 8 batters singled their way on safely and 6 runs crossed in the inning as GorgeousWatches extended their lead to 11-2.  Sky & Sky did stage a comeback in the t-3rd as David Kowitz doubled and Aric Spitulnik hit his first homerun of the season for a 3-run shot.  Two doubles later Sky & Sky pushed 2 more across and cut the lead to 4 runs.  That was as close as Sky & Sky would get as GorgeousWatches had 3 singles in the b-3rd to inch ahead by 2 more.  Sky & Sky's offense sputtered and GorgeousWatches added 4 more all on singles for a final of 17-9.  Jeff Harris earned the win and Larry Newman took the loss.  Hitting stars for GorgeousWatches were Larry Henderson (3-4,HR, 2 1B), Russell Seamster (2-2, 2 1B, SF, BB) and Rich Northrup (3-4, 2 runs).  For Sky & Sky, Brian Sky (3-4, 2B, 2 1B, SF), Eric Gertner (2-3, 2B, 1B) and Mike Rottenberg also went 2-3.
