Pikesville Middle School Field #2
Attman's Deli vs Orbin Publishing
Game 1
Attman's Deli-13  Orbin Publishing-6
WP- Bruce Eisenberg   LP - Gary Schoengold
Attman's jumped out to a 12-2 lead after four innings with the bats of Ricky Farley (2-run homer) and two hits each by Rob Ressin, Reggie Ellis and Bruce Eisenberg. The winner was Bruce Eisenberg for his 14th win of the year.

Game 2
Attman's Deli-10  Orbin Publishing-9
WP- Bruce Eisenberg   LP - Gary Schoengold
A much tighter game two as Orbin scored 8 runs total of the last three innings to pressure Attman's in to scoring the insurance run in the bottom of the sixth with two out. The key plays for Attman occurred early as Ricky Farley threw out a runner at the plate and then Dave Sandler threw out a runner at home trying to score from second on a single to right and later that same inning threw out a runner at third going from first to third on a single. These plays turned out to be the keys to the 15th win of the season for Bruce Eisenberg.

Pikesville Middle School Field #3
GorgeousWatches.com vs Legal Papers Inc
Game 1
Legal Papers-17  GorgeousWatches-6
WP-Ted Winner  LP- Sonny Cherlstein
The sun was shining down on LPI as they blasted 3 runs in the first inning starting w/ Eric Ruby's double, followed by Dave Kopel's double and a blast over the left fielders head from Donnie Herrod. The second inning was just the same with a walk from patiently waiting Paul Shifrin, then consecutive hits from David Kopel (1b), Donnie Herrod (2b), Jeff Sacks(1b) and Mark Cucina(1b) added 4 more runs to the total. The 3rd inning was 1-2-3 for LPI, then in the 4th inning, sloppy defensive from GW lead to 3 more runs with 2 outs, ending the score 11-3. LPI opened up the 5th inning with the bottom of the order getting 5 consecutive runners on base from Ted Winner (1b), Ken Zalis(1b) , David Michaelson(1b), patient Paul Shifrin (BB), Howard Rosenberg(1b), and with bases loaded 1 out, David Kopel (4-4 on the day) put the game out of reach hitting a double down the left field line to clear the bases. Aggressive base running from LPI and sloppy miscues from GW ended the game 17-6. (***Note: Every player from LPI had a base hit, patient Paul Shirfin 2 walks).

Game 2
Legal Papers-13  GorgeousWatches-12
WP-Marty Ellis  LP-Jeff Harris
LPI started game #2 the same way with Eric Ruby doubling down the left field line, then a throwing error by the left fielder, had Ruby standing on 3rd. David Kopel, hit a sac fly, then Donnie Herrod smashed a double into left center followed by a single from Jeff Sacks to start the game off 2-0. LPI threatened with bases loaded in the 3rd inning, but could just not push any runners to home plate. The 4th & 5th innings were a nightmare for GW's defense as there were 5 total errors in 2 innings from routine ground balls as LPI scored 4 runs in the 4th and 5 runs in the 5th ending the score 11-11. GW kept the game tight by hitting the ball and scoring runs, but ultimately, they gave the game away with fielding errors as in the top of the 7th inning Ken Zalis hit a 1out triple (oopps) down the left field line, but tripped over is shoelaces and ended up with a double. To make sure it didn't happen again, veteran 50 yr old, pincher runner Ron Bondroff took over at second base for Zalis. Howard Rosenberg came up to the plate, while discarding his 15 yrs old bat and trading it in for a SUPERCELL 14", 28 oz!! He hit a scorching single over the second baseman's head which the right center fielder threw off target to home plate and out of play. Another fielding error which could have ended the inning, brought in the second run to end the score 13-12. Superb pitching by Marty Ellis in the last inning to throw the meat of the line up OFF BALANCE and end the game. (((((***Note: Every player from LPI had a base hit)))))

Pikesville Middle School Field #4
Havana Club Cannons vs Sky & Sky Inc
Game 1
Havana Club Cannons-10  Sky & Sky Inc-5
WP-Mark Yokel   LP-Marc Leibovitz
In the t-1st the Cannons took a chance by giving an intentional pass to Brian Kowitz with his brother on 2nd and 2 outs. Scott Felton did not allow the gamble to pay off as he singled one in to open the scoring. Not to be outdone, the Cannons' Dan Kassel tripled one home and then came home on a double by Johnny Edelman. For most of the rest of the game Mark Yokel quieted the Sky & Sky bats while his teammates chipped in with runs in each of the first 5 innings. One in the b-2nd as Rob Issenock scored after reaching on an error. In the b-3rd the Cannon's Evan Kreitzer homered to dead center through the trees for 2, and the Cannons used 2 infield errors to push across the 3rd run of the inning. In the b-4th Johnny Edelman took his turn for the 2 run blast, as three had crossed in the inning. The Cannons almost added a 4th, but the runner was cut down at the plate after a hustling Kirk Gorman retrieved the ball hit behind him to limit the damage. One run in the 5th again with 2 errors as the Cannons extended their lead to 10-1 after 5. Jumping to the t-7th the Sky & Sky bats finally did wake up. A solo blast by Scott Felton got things started, followed by 5 base hits and 3 more runs to cut the Cannons lead to 10- 5. But the rally died as Mark Yokel got the win and Marc Leibovitz took the loss. Hitting stars for the Cannons were Johnny Edelman who was a triple shy of the cycle and added 3 RBI, while Evan Kreitzer missed the cycle needing a double. For Sky & Sky Scott Felton was 2-3 (HR, 1B, 2 RBI), Joel Wax was 2-3 (2 2B), while Kirk Gorman and David Kowitz each had 2 hits.

Game 2
Sky & Sky Inc- 15  Havana Club Cannons- 6
WP-Larry Newman   LP-Tom Paulshock
Sky & Sky tried to even out their day and got things started early as Scott Felton singled in 2 in the b-1st. Sky & Sky added 4 in the b-2nd. Aric Spitulnik doubled home one, two more singles brought in one run a piece and Andy Bloom doubled in a lumbering Alan Friedman from second base. Meanwhile Larry Newman held the Cannons in check for 4 innings with Neal Charkatz's
triple leading to the Cannons only run. In the t-5th the Cannons made a game out of it by tying up the score. Two walks and four singles did the damage as the Cannons played station to station softball for 5 runs in the inning. Sky & Sky answered with their own big inning as Brian Kowitz hit a
2 run shot followed by a Scott Felton solo blast which bounced through the gap in center field. Following 2 singles, Aric Spitulnik doubled one home and Eric Gertner added an RBI. When the dust cleared Sky & Sky was ahead 12-6. In the t-6th Brian Kowitz upped his own ante with a 3 run shot to finish out the scoring at 15-6.
