Havana Club Cannons vs Orbin Publishing
Game 1
Cannons-10 Orbin Publishing-3
WP- Mark Yokel LP - Gary Schoengold
The Havana Club Cannons swept a pair of games today from Orbin Publishing.
Orbin's pitchers threw very well, but couldn't get enough defensive support, as the Cannons kept a lot of pressure on, while running the bases
aggresively. Game one found Mark Yokel going all seven innings for an 8-3 Havana Club win. The Cannons were the visitors in game one, and wasted no
time opening up a lead. Jeff Kurland singled to start it, and after a walk to Steve Henneman, Johnny Edelman doubled them both home. Then Jeff Robbins
singled in Edelman for a three run lead. Kurland again singled and scored in the third and Robbins doubled and scored in the fourth. Kurland and Ernie
Stephenson singled and scored in the fifth inning, and Henneman singled and
scored in the seventh.
Game 2
Cannons-15 Orbin Publishing-3 (5 Innings)
WP- Tom Paulshock LP - Mark Rifkin
The Cannons won game two in five innings 15-3, as Tom Paulshock got into the win column. All eleven players in the line-up contributed hits, and ten
of eleven scored a run or more. Neal Charkatz tripled in two runners in the second inning for a four nothing lead the Havana Club would not relinquish.

Attman's Deli vs Sky & Sky Inc
Game 1
Attman's Deli-9 Sky & Sky Inc-5
WP-Bruce Eisenberg LP- Marc Leibovitz
Brian Kowitz had the early wakeup call with a towering blast into someone's backyard in RF. However, Attmans' hitters did their damage with
men on base as Scott Moffett went deep to RF with a man on and 3 walks later Rob Ressin doubled home 2 more to put Attman's ahead by 3. In the b-3rd a
lead off single by Ricky Farley allowed Brian Wolf an RBI opportunity, and this time Scott Moffett went deep to LCF for his second bomb of the game.
In the t-4th Sky & Sky struck for 3 as Scott Felton doubled home 1, and Brian Sky added a 2-RBI single to cut Attman's lead in half. Jumping to the
b-5th, Ricky Farley again got things going as he doubled followed by a Lee
Eidelberg triple. Warren Scudder added the SF and Attman's went ahead by 4. Bruce Eisenberg mowed through the heart of the Sky & Sky lineup inducing 5
pop flies to end the game. The final was 9-5 as Bruce Eisenberg got the win and Marc Leibovitz took the loss.
Hitting stars for Attman's were Rob Ressin 2-3 (2 2B, 2 RBI), Ricky Farley 2-3 (2B, 1B, 2 runs), Brian
Wolf 3-3 (2 2B, 1B, 2 runs) and Scott Moffett with those 2 big blasts, 4 RBI, 2 runs.
Hitting stars for Sky & Sky were Brian Kowitz 1-2 (HR, BB, 2 runs) and Alan Friedman with a pinch hit RBI single.
Game 2
Sky & Sky Inc-8 Attman's Deli-7
WP-Larry Newman LP-Bruce Eisenberg
Bruce Eisenberg seemed to have his stuff working early in the game, and
Attmans' bats were working out of the gate. A Rob Ressin single led things off and he eventually came around to score with some heads up
baserunning. In the t-2nd two leadoff walks led to 3 runs for Attman's as
Harry Schevker singled in 1 and Paul Bell doubled in another. Eisenberg even chipped with a SF of his own to push Attman's ahead by 3. In the b-4th
Scott Felton led off with a base knock and was followed up by 2 more singles as Andy Bloom knocked him in. Attman's went right back to work as Scott
Moffett doubled in 1 and came around to score. Sky & Sky chipped away with 3 singles in the b-5th but Attman's held tough yielding just 1 run with the
bases loaded and 1 down. In the b-6th, Sky & Sky began show some life. A homerun by Brian Sky was followed with 3 singles as Joel Wax knocked in the
2nd run of the inning. Attman's pushed across 1 in the t-6th off of Brian Wolf's single. Going into the last half of the 7th, Sky needed 2 to tie and
things looked good as David Kowitz drew a leadoff walk. But with 2 down and their backs against the wall Scott Felton singled and Aric Spitulnik doubled
him to 3rd. Attman's braintrust elected not to walk Brian Sky to set up the force and he made them pay blasting a shot to deep LCF for the walkoff
homerun. Larry Newman got the win and Bruce Eisenberg took the hard luck loss.
Hitting stars for Sky & Sky were Brian "Sky" Mekiliesky with 3 HR and a single plus 5 RBI. The Sky & Sky battery each went 2-3, as the bottom of the order put in their contribution. For Attman's Rob Ressin went 2-3, Brian Wolf was 1-2 (BB, 1 RBI, 2 runs).

GW took the lead for good in the third inning off pitcher Mike Johnson. Seemster led off with a massive triple to right. C. Dlin doubled to center to bring him home and move GW to within one run. Bierhoff continued his hot hitting with drive over the right-center fielder's head. The hit scored
Dlin, but Bierhoff was thrown out at home. None-the-less the game was tied at six.
GW was not done though. M. Rosenstein, limping on a bad hamstring, singled to center. Jon Koman flied out. Suddenly hot hitting RF Rich Northrup launched a triple to dead right to score Rosenstein to give GW the lead 7-6. Harris, then helped his own cause by doubling to left scoring
Northrup. Schreiber then singled home Harris to end the scoring with GW leading 9-6.
