In Kings b-3rd, Jason Green singled and scored on Mike Pusateri's 2-out RBI single. Warren Scudder started Attman's t-4th with a triple down the RF line. Jeff Goldstein was able to retire Paul Bell and Don Herrod with Scudder remaining at thirdbase. After a pitch-around walk to Scott Moffet, Shapiro helped his cause with another RBI hit, putting his team ahead 6-4. The score remained Attman's 6, Kings 4 into the t-7th. In Attman's top half of the inning, singles by Herrod, Moffet, and Shapiro loaded the bases with 0 out. Brian Wolf flied out to Alan Klawans in LF with all runners holding their position. Dave Sandler followed with a grounder to 1B Duane Reiswig who stepped on first base and then fired home to catcher Rick Amernick, who tagged out the sliding Herrod, for the inning ending doubleplay. That play would end up crucial as the score remained Attman's 6, Kings 4. In Kings b-7th, with 1 out, Jeff Goldstein singled. Goldstein was forced out at 2B for out number 2 on Ted Winner's pinch-hit fielder's choice. Jim Silvestri singled pinch-runner Joel Gordon over to 3B and kept the Kings alive. Pikesville Senior High Field 5
Schaefer & Strohminger  vs.  Sky & Sky Inc
Game 1
Sky & Sky Inc  14  Schaefer & Strohminger 7

Sky & Sky met Schaeffer and Strohminger on field #5, both teams benefiting from an already raked field which was vacated due to forfeit.  Two early solo blasts by Scott Felton and Carl Goldsmith pushed Sky & Sky out to an early lead.  Mark Rosenstein singled and then came around to score on a Sac Fly cutting the lead in half for Schaeffer & Strohminger.  Scott Felton added three more with one swing of his bat, going to deep RF following an Aric Spitulnik double.  The bats stayed quiet for the next few innings until Schaeffer and Strohminger threatened momentarily in the bottom of the fifth.  Poor communication by Sky & Sky's infield inadvertently snagged a baserunner in a rundown, as Stuart Rudo tagged him out.  The play halted a rally as Sky & Sky escaped unscathed from the inning.  The top of the sixth proved to be the big blow as Sky & Sky's first six batters of the inning scored.  A double and walk set up Andy Bloom for an RBI single. Eric Gertner soon followed with a 2 RBI single of his own.  Then Carl Goldsmith hit his second homer of the day--a three run shot.  Schaeffer and Strohminger was close to an early ending, and didn't like the feeling, so they answered with four of their own in the sixth.  Two singles and an error led to the first two RBI's, and a Brian ??? HR plated the other two runs.  Two walks and a double allowed Andy Bloom to single home two runs and Joel Wax's SF capped Sky's offensive showing at 14 runs.  Schaeffer did score one on a solo blast in the bottom of the 7th for a final score of 14-7.  Larry Newman got the win and Mark Yokel took the loss.  Hitting stars for Sky and Sky were Scott Felton(3-3, 2HR,2B,BB, 4RBI's), Andy Bloom(3-4,2 2B,1B,3RBI's) and Carl Goldsmith(2-3, 2HR,4RBI's).  Schaeffer's hitting stars were Mark Rosenstein  who went 3-3 with three base hits, Mark Yokel (who helped his own cause) with 2 singles as did Larry Henderson.

Game 2
Sky & Sky  12  Schaefer & Strohminger 11
Game two was a much closer contest featuring three separate ties, but only one lead change in an eight inning contest.  Schaeffer and Strohminger came out swinging in the top of the first with three runs.  Andrew Rosenstein was apparently tired of his brother receiving all of the press, so he blasted a three run job to deep LF in the first.  One more came across the old fashioned way in the second.  Two singles, a walk and a SF made the score 4-0 in favor of Schaeffer and Strohminger.  Eric Gertner led off the second with a double and came around to score closing the gap to 4-1 after two.  Sky and Sky tied the game at 4 with a Brian Kowitz RBI triple, Andy Bloom RBI double and a Carl Goldsmith RBI single.  Jumping ahead to the top of the fifth, Schaeffer pushed two across.  A solo shot by Bobby Morrow was followed by an Andrew Rosenstein double.  He came around to score putting Schaeffer up by two.  In the sixth, unusual circumstances allowed Schaeffer to light up the score board for four runs.  An Sky & Sky error placed Schaeffer's runner at second base.  Mark Yokel then singled him to third.  As the ball was thrown into second which seemingly ended the play Alan Friedman, Sky's catcher, went to retrieve the tossed bat for Schaeffer and Strominger's team.  However, time was never called and the runner darted home from third with Friedman half way up the first base line.  Yokel then broke for second and slid in safely.  Larry Henderson doubled him home, and then scored on an infield error.  Andrew Rosenstein followed with another RBI double to put Schaeffer and Strohminger ahead by 6.  Sky & Sky did not think highly of Schaeffer's tactics and took it out on them with the bats.  Stuart Rudo tripled home a run and came in to score.  Then Brian Kowitz doubled home two more.   Andy Bloom and Eric Gertner each singled home a run as well to knot the score at 10.  Each team was held scoreless in the 7th so the game went into extra innings.  A leadoff walk was issued to Larry Henderson and in a stoke of genius coaching maneuver, he put in Jeff Harris to pinch-run.  The move paid off as Bobby Morrow singled Jeff home from second with the go ahead run.  Down to their final at bat and needing two runs to win, Sky and Sky went to work.  Joel Wax reached first on a FC and was promptly singled to third base.  Brian Kowitz ended the game with a towering triple to RCF scoring Scott Felton from first to give Sky and Sky the come-from-behind victory 12-11, in 8 innings.  Again Larry Newman pitched his way to the victory and Mark Yokel absorbed the hard luck loss. Hitting stars for Sky & Sky were Scott Felton(3-4, 2B,2 1B,BB) and Brian Kowitz(3-5, 2 3B,2B,5RBI's).  Schaeffer's attack was led by Bobby Morrow(4-5,HR,3 1B,2RBI), Andrew Rosenstein(3-5,HR, 2 2B,4RBI's) and John ???(3-4,3 1B)
