Field 3
Havana Club Cannons  vs  Palmgard
Game 1
The Havana Club Cannons rebounded  from last week's losses by sweeping a pair from Palmgard Sunday. Trailing 1-0 after two innings, Johnny Edelman and Michael Dubansky each knocked in a run in the third to give the  Cannons the edge. In the fourth, after an Evan Kreitzer double, Jim Peterson and Jeff Robbins each had RBI's as the lead stretched to 4-1. In the fifth, singles by Johnny Edelman and Dan Kassel set up Michael Dubansky for a sac fly and Tom Paulshock kept the lead, as the defense of the Cannons was outstanding. Final score 5-2 Cannons. Key Palmgard hitters Mickey Golden (2-4, 2B) and Jeff Webster (2-3, R).

Game 2
Game two was also a well played defensive game by the Cannons as they cruised to an 11-4 victory, and again Tom Paulshock was the winning pitcher. Dan Kassel was three for four and knoked in three runs. Evan Kreitzer was two for three with a triple and scored three times. Jim Peterson doubled and knocked in two while Jeff Kurland was two for three with two runs batted in.

Field 4
Kings  vs  Legal Papers Inc
Game 1
Kings Mike Herr made an unexpected start as scheduled starter Ted Winner neglected to set his alarm clock properly. Herr was greeted in the t-1st to 4 Legal Papers runs, capped by an Eric Ruby 2 out 2-run HR. The Kings, though, came back with 5 runs in b-1st against LP's Kevin Oliner. With 1 out, a Jim Silvestri single was followed by consecutive singles by Jeff Slutzker(RBI), Chris Ryder, Duane Reiswig, and Mike Pusateri(2 RBI). Neither team scored in innings 2 thru 4. LP tied game with a single run in the t-5th. With 1 out, Dave Kopel singled, Scott Bloom doubled, and Marc Summerfield hit a SF to LF. Kings re-took lead in b-5th on Jeff Slutzker's 2-run HR to CF. Trailing 7-5 into t-6th, LP scored 2 runs to make it even at 7-7. Eric Ruby hit a solo HR down the LF line. Johnny Feldman singled with 2 outs and came around to score on an outfield error. Kings took commanding 13-7 lead with 6 runs in b-6th, 5 of the runs coming after 2 were out. Key 2 out hits came from Jim Silvestri(2 RBI single) and Chris Ryder(3 RBI double). LP made it close in the t-7th. Against a tiring Mike Herr, 2 out RBI singles by Jeff Sacks, Ron Bondroff, and Eric Ruby put the tie run at the plate, but Herr coerced Bob Hansen into a game ending pop-up to SS Mike Pusateri.

Game 2
Game 2 was a one-sided affair with the Kings leading 16-7 entering the b-7th, but Legal Papers exploded for 9 runs in the inning to tie the score. The Kings, though, held on to win 18-16 in 8 innings. Legal Papers' Jeff Sacks hit a grandslam HR with 2 out in the b-7th to tie the game. In the Kings t-8th, Jeff Slutzker hit a 1 out 2B off the glove of Sacks. Kings Rick Amernick then delivered a clutch 2-out RBI single to RCF against an  overshifted LP outfield. Singles by Mike Pusateri and Jim Silvestri(RBI) plated Amernick for the 2 run lead. After retiring the first 2 batters in the b-8th, Kings pitcher Ted Winner walked Jason before retiring Marty Ellis on an infield grounder. Winner supported his cause offensively with a 3B, HR and 5 RBI. Marc Goldstein also homered for the Kings. Kings had 27 hits off of LP starter Marty Ellis. Ellis offensively walked 4 times and interfered on a throw to 2B in the b-7th.

Kings hitters with 5 or more hits on the day were Ernie Stephenson(5-8,4 R,2B), Jeff Slutzker(5-7,6 R,5 RBI,2B,HR), Chris Ryder(5-9,2 R,5 RBI,2B), Duane Reiswig(5-7,R,RBI,3 2B), Jim Silvestri(6-9,5 R,3 RBI,2B,3B), Mike Herr(5-7,3 R,2 RBI,2B). Offensive stars for LP were Dave Kopel(4-7,5 R, RBI), Scott Bloom(4-8,3 R,RBI,2 2B), Jeff Sacks(4-9,5 R,7 RBI,2 2B,HR), Eric Ruby(6-9,3 R,4 RBI,2B,2 HR).

Pikesville Senior High Field 5
Sky & Sky Inc.  vs  Attman's Deli
Game 1
Attman's met Sky & Sky at the high school, but had to shovel a pile of pre-dumped dirt away from the home plate area. After the excavation project was completed, the sticks came out. The first four batters in the lineup scored as Attman's raced to a 9-0 lead after 1 1/2 innings.  It seemed that Sky & Sky had not had their proverbial 'cup of coffee', and were in dire need of a wake up call. The second inning alarm kicked in as 8 runs came across. First an Eric Gertner RBI single, then the right side of Attman's committed two uncharacteristic errors, and the flood gates opened. Andy Bloom had an RBI triple, Scott Felton followed suit with a double, and Brian "Sky" Mekilesky also doubled to drive in one. Scott Felton doubled another run home in the 4th. Mike Novak's single pulled Sky & Sky to within 4, but that was as close as Sky & Sky would get. Attman's Deli held on for a 16-10 win.  Lee Eidelberg led the attack going 3 for 4 with two RBI.  Paul Bell also went 3 for 4 with one RBI.  Andy Rosenthal, Don Herrod and Bruce Eisenberg each contributed 2 RBI.  Bruce Eisenberg picked up the win, while Marc Leibovitz took the loss. Sky's hot hitters included Andy Bloom 2-4(2B,3B,RBI), Scott Felton and Brian Sky both 2-4(2 2B's,RBI)

Game 2
In game two, despite Sky & Sky only fielding 9 players, they put up a much better fielding performance. Unfortunately for them, so did Attman's. Jumping out to a one run lead in the 2nd, Attman's clamped down and practically shut the door holding Sky & Sky to 7 hits in the game. A key error in the fourth by the Sky & Sky's catcher opened the door to 4 more Attman's runs. Down by six in the last inning, Eric Gertner's leadoff home run to LCF was Sky's offensive highlight for the game. The only other highlight of this otherwise hum-drum game was Larry Newman's unleashing of a pitch over the backstop.  Attman's breezed to the win 6-1 win, aided mightily by a four run third inning.  Lee Eidelberg hit a key two-run triple and Bruce Eisenberg picked up his 13th win. Larry Newman took the loss. Both Scott Felton and Wayne Resnick went 2-3(1B,2B) in the losing effort.
